Going #GlutenFree with Schar

Going gluten free has been an adventure, but I have to say I am so pleased with the foods that are available for Owen. Owen has been such a good sport about trying new things. What I didn't want to happen was that he would feel as those all he could eat was bland, boring food. We started sampling and trying brands we had never heard of. One of those brands was Schar. Schar gluten free products are from Europe and are Europe's #1 gluten free food choice. After trying a variety of their products I can see why! The first product we ever tried by Schar was their Ciabatta rolls. They have become a family favorite around here.

Schar Gluten Free Foods sent us a awesome package for review. We received a variety of products to try, including the Deli Style Bread, Cheese Bites and Honeygrams. Schars was also kind enough to include a grocery list, a informational DVD and magnet. Owen was so excited to dig into these new products! We started off with the Deli Bread. Typically we have found gluten free breads to be extremely dense and crumbly. The deli bread by Schar is the complete opposite. This bread comes in a small pack of 4 thick slices allowing it to stay fresh longer. We have also found that gluten free products can go bad quickly, so having a small fresh pack helps eliminate having to toss the extras. I took a taste of Owens lunch sandwich and was very impressed with the texture as well as flavor.

The cheese bites and honeygrams were Owens favorite for sure. I put the cheese bites in his lunch and when he came home he immediately asked for more. Of course Elliott wanted to try them and within minutes they polished off the bag! I was a little stricter about the honeygrams. We have plenty of grahams around here, so I wanted to save these just for Owen. He was again in love with them and so happy to have a real s'more again! We are continuing to try more and more Schar products when we grocery shop and are finding them to all be a great addition to Owens diet.
