6.

I honestly have no idea how this little dude went from a colicky baby to a full blown boy in a matter of seconds. I can still feel his little body in my arms. He came out with a barrel chest and a slightly stocky build. We thought for sure he was going to be built like his dad. We couldn't have been more wrong! Six years later he is a skinny, tall little man. His eyes have stayed a nice bright blue and he is constantly getting compliments on them. He is one of the funniest kids I know and is always willing to help, especially in the kitchen. He has bright aspirations with plans to be a high rise window washer and skydiver. Both of those will suite him well- he has no fear of adventure!

This past year we had several little scares with his health. I have lost countless nights worrying about him and lifting him up to God. Since last year, Owen has endured a few serious asthma attacks, a hour long heart ultra sound and has switched to a gluten free diet! He is a true champ with his new eating restrictions- he never complains about missing out on certain yummy foods like cake and cookies. I couldn't be more proud of him and how he has handled these health issues. As of today his heart is healthy, his asthma is completely under control and because of his new diet, he has a better temperament, absolutely no eczema and stomachs. Unbelievable!

I love this little guy so much and am honored to be his mom! Happy 6th Birthday Buddy!
Our traditional birthday pancake breakfast, followed by a yummy gluten free pizza lunch!
Our awesome neighbors came over with pots and pans singing a birthday song!
