We received a box full of fabulous school/art supplies. All the supplies are eco friendly and non toxic. Of course my 8 year old has claimed everything and has all the supplies neatly tucked into her night stand. These items that now live in the purple room are, Soy Crayon Rocks, Faber-Castell Eco-friendly Colored Pencils, Banana Paper 2-Subject College Rule Notebooks, Green Apple Recycled Ruler and Westcott KleenEarth Kids Recycled Scissors.
I set Elliott up in her room with all the supplies and told her to create something. She is a funny one. She set to work on making a To Do List. lol! Love that kid. She used all her supplies to cut out her list, make lines and add colors. Then we spent a bunch of time coloring together. I knew that we would love the Faber-Castell pencils because we love all their products, but I was nervous about the soy crayon rocks. I had purchased a set of similar soy crayons before and the colors were very poor. I was very shocked to see how bright and colorful these rocks were. Much better then my previous experience! When we were all done I asked Elliott for her opinion and her only complaint was that the scissors were too small. She loves the Banana Paper notebook and has been busy filling it up with stories and pictures. I loved that the notebook has a few pocket folders tucked inside. A perfect place to leave a little note. :) We are thrilled with all of these products and will be using them all summer long for fun crafting projects. I also will be coming back here for our school supply shopping that will start in just a few weeks after school gets out!
