Neem is something that has been popping up all over the place lately in my searched for natural remedies. The first time I came across it was when researching natural ways to make sunscreen and bug repellent. I was unsure of this new to me oil, so I started doing some research and here are a few thing that I found. Neem is a native tree to India and is mostly found in more tropical locations. The oils drawn from the Neem plant have been used for medicinal purposes. This is not a cooking oil. Neem has been used to aid in such illnesses such as acne, fever, leprosy, malaria, ophthalmia and tuberculosis. Pretty cool right?! Recently it is being usedas a biopesticide in organic farming to aid in repelling several insects such as: mealy bug, beet armyworm, aphids, thecabbage worm, thrips, whiteflies, mites, fungus gnats, beetles, moth larvae, mushroom flies, leafminers, caterpillars, locust, nematodes and the Japanese beetle. I have use organic pesticides and have been very happy with the results. Since I was introduced to Neem Oil as a pesticide I was surprised that it is also used for skin care.

I have been using the TheraNeem Nail and cuticle oil regularly. I have horrible cuticles and tend to be a bit of a nail bitter. My nails are pretty strong and grow well naturally, but my cuticles are a whole different story. They are dry, cracked and just gross. Although they do still have a few sores on them, they are healing up nicely and are much healthier since I started using TheraNeem. I am glad that I found this product and will be using it several times a day come winter when my hands dry out. Organix South makes several products for your whole body as well.
