Simple City Life: Glow Bug #ClothDiaper Review and Giveaway

Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are a uniquely designed pocket diaper. The two moms behind this company have taken the positives of several diapers on the market and designed a diaper that puts all the best features together. When I first opened up this diaper I was welcomed by a fun and different print for my guy. Glow Bug has several prints for boys and girls. I gave the diaper the once over and was very impressed with the combination of features I found.

A big test in our house is "stuff-ability". Is the diaper easy to stuff? Can I get my hand inside and does the insert fit nicely? Glow Bug diaper score high in the chart. The pocket is wide allowing the hubs to stuff these diapers with ease. Not only are these diapers easy to stuff, they can be stuffed from the front as well as the back. , this is great when getting ready wash...no separation necessary. You can just throw the diaper right in the wash fully stuffed and the insert agitates out. I have tested this and it has proved itself over and over. Now if you are snapping in the insert in, then this is not the case. That being said, that is the one feature I dislike. I personally do not see a reason to snap in a pocket diaper insert. I have never had a insert shift while being worn.

My next test is can I "wrap and snap"? What this means, when baby poops, can i wrap up the poopy diaper and snap it closed? That is a downfall of many snap diapers and the advantage of aplix* closure diapers. Thankfully, Glow Bug passes this test, placing it high on my list of go to diapers. I am often caught with out my small wetbag when I am out due to my very blonde brain. Being able to fully close soiled diapers while out is a huge win.

My final plus which gives this diaper a 4 Star rating: Double Gussets. I never understood the importance of this feature till Rai was born. This kids has a serious dairy/soy issue and is never without messy poop. Adding that extra barrier to keep the yuckies in matters in this house. The extra gusset in Glow Bug Diapers preforms perfectly. We are 100% leak free in this diaper.

Overall this diaper is a huge bang for your buck. It is nice and trim, with a soft, super stay dry lining. Glow Bug Diapers are sold in packages of 6 (solids or white only) or 12 (prints and solids). When you purchase the 12 pack, not only do you receive 12 pocket diapers, you will get 24 micro fiber inserts and a wet bag for one low price. That being said, if you are looking to try one diaper before committing, well, you are out of luck. You would have to just take my word for it! ;) These set are sold in prints, which they are known for being ultra adorable, in either boy or girl. You can also choose to purchase gender neutral solids with fun brightly colored snaps.
