As moms, we all need and desire a place to hang out and share our struggles, our joys and honestly a place to escape everyday chaos and talk in a adult voice. Maybe you are an new expecting mom and you desire to have a place when you are able to ask question and laugh about crazy pregnancy craving.
Lindsay, saw this need for moms to be. She knew that expecting moms needed a place to connect and feel at home, and did something about it. She created
Bump Club and Beyond. Lindsay has a gift with people and has created a meeting place that is fun and relaxing. By connecting moms in a new and creative way, she is helping create a gateway into motherhood that is full of support and information. Weather you are shopping together, being pampered or learning about new products to help you on your journey, Bump Club and Beyond is there for you.
I was able to attend one of their events this past week in Chicago. I walked into
Flor Chicago not really know at all what to expect. I was greeted at the front and immediately found Lindsay. She has a fabulous personality and is a perfect hostess. The event was filled with perfect baby bumps and moms of all kinds. I was able to chat with a few moms about their experience with Bump Club and Beyond. The overall consensus, it has been a breath of fresh air for them on this journey of motherhood.

The Living Green{er} Event was a wealth of knowledge for all moms. As you all know, living green and riding our lives of toxins is a huge passion of mine. This event brought together four amazing women to share and teach us about how to live green and make simple changes to better our lives. I was very thrilled to meet Lynda, the founder of
Green Babies. I had worked with Green Babies earlier this year. Their products are truly wonderful and their passion for your child's health is phenomenal. Lynda shared in depth the dangers of phthalates in your day to day akin products. Owner Suzanne Price of
Sprout, reiterated these dangers not only in your body care but in your childern's toys. I learned a lot from this talk.

| Taking in all they had to share! |
Jennifer Downing of
Nourish and Laura Lukas of
Blue Plate Catering shared their tip on going green through simple steps around the house as well as your groceries. Jennifer stressed the importance of shopping local and covered the
dirty dozen food- foods that should be bought organically grown. Laura shared several simple tip in order to save money and green up your house. My favorite tip- reuse your water from steaming your vegetable to water your plants! We are also going to implement a fabulous system for teaching the kids to go green by setting up a jar system. Each time we catch the kids turning off a light or recycling, they get a marble in their jar. Once the jar is full they will earn something...we need to figure out what that is!

This event was amazing! Not only were the speakers amazing, the sponsors were unbelievable. I was able to chat with Kelly from
Itzy Ritzy. They have the best snack bags, allowing you to save move, snack toxin free and look stylish too! I walked away with a Envirosac reusable bag full of eco friendly goodies! I would love to get something like this started here in Milwaukee. Moms, expecting or well into the baby game are in need of fun events like this. I know that Lindsay has put in a lot of work to get Bump Club and Beyond where it is today. If you are in the Chicago or Austin, TX area, I highly suggest you check out Bump Club and Beyond.
